Greetings Caid! Arts and Sciences Point at Potrero War (May 21 to May 25th, 2015) will be hosting some fun competitions this year: The Persona Timeline Project and The Embroidered Illumination Competition.
The Persona Timeline Project is a competition to present an item from your persona’s personal timeline, i.e. something he or she would have used and owned.. You may enter this under the Fact (documentation) or Fable (fabricated origin) category. For rules and information on this competition, go to http://www.potrerowar.org/events/personacomp.html.
The Embroidered Illumination Competition is for an artisan to take traditional medieval illumination and remake it into an embroidered illumination. This can be on anything from a square of cloth to a finished garment. For rules and information on this competition, go to http://www.potrerowar.org/events/embroiderycomp.html.
Potrero War, Thursday, May 21st through Monday, May 25th, is soon upon us. That means we are in the midst of preparations and I am looking for teachers to educate our Populace on a variety of subjects. At the moment, April 20th is the deadline to ensure your class gets into the Gate Book, so please don’t hesitate to send in your class proposal.
I will make every attempt to accommodate your time, date, and location request; however, as classes are scheduled, time availability becomes limited. If there are limitations, we will work together to find a time and date that is best for you. I will be taking class proposals until May 13, but in order to have your class listed in the Gate Book for Potrero, I need class proposals by April 20. If it is past April 20, we will not be able to list it in the book, but a class list will be available on site at War.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns and please feel free to forward this to anyone who might be interested in teaching as well.
Thank you and I am looking forward to a great War!
Yours in Service,
Lady Euginia in rauða
